Bureaugraphies. Administration After the Age of Bureaucracy
Workshop on the 21st-22nd May 2025 in Vienna: Protokollarische Kulturen. Mitschriften der österreichischen Bürokratie 1900–1950.
The first workshop (organized by the Vienna ‘Leading House’) is dedicated to the Austrian administrative culture: the administrative apparatus, but also the personal networks of the ‘bureaucracy’. It focuses on the official and non-governmental function of the protocol in its double sense of ‘regulation’ and ‘transcript’, of behavior regulation and official documentation.
